Concept
Inspired by cubism, infused with the grace of the roaring 20s, this concept captures the vibrant, clear cut elegance that Gucci radiates today.
The expressively poised hands respect the brands roots in a somewhat dramatic form of luxury, while also encapsulating a trajectory towards street culture. The rough, unrefined shape of the hands creates an ideal condiment to highlight the lavish, ornate grace of the golden rings.
In combination, the two open a space between notions of religious celebration and punk rebellion, between fine art sculpture and street art parody, between thoughtful intricacy and eruptive emotion.
